About Big Stu's Barbecue

Big Stu’s Barbecue is a family-friendly barbecue founded in 2019 to honor the late Stu Lapidus. As a family man, Stu valued time spent with the family and barbecuing.

We are happy to announce we will be back in 2025 with this charity family barbecue!

This year, we will gather together again at Sketchbook Brewing, 4901 Main Street Skokie, IL, 60077 on July 12th, from 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm CST.

We will enjoy each others company, have fun playing lawn games, auction off a variety of great prizes, eat delicious BBQ, and honor Stu.

Proceeds from our event will be donated to Project Purple, a non-profit charity which helps patients and families who are dealing with pancreatic cancer, and funds grants to advance research for early detection and a cure.
